When and Where

E Komo Mai!

As it is said in Hawaii. Or, "Welcome" to our wedding — at least in spirit and photograph. To enjoy these pictures at their best, simply click on each one to view the full-sized photo.

A short walk down the beach where we were staying in Waimanalo, we met with our photographer, David. David to Charlotte: "Did you bring your machete?" Charlotte to David: "Uh, no." David to Charlotte: "They forgot to tell you that you needed a machete?"

It seems that he wasn't kidding but we had fun crawling through the trees and vines …

Intimate moments captured …

* * *

Leaving the trees and vines behind, the beauty of the waters of the windward coast of Oahu frames us.

Looking to our future …

* * *

Our walk along the beach started off simple enough …

* *

… then we got playful …

*  *

A quick hug before our kahuna, Captain Howie, blows on the conch shell …

* *

I wonder how long before he runs out of breath? I'm thinking, but at the same time was simply awed …

* *

Rings are exchanged …

* *

We were ordered to give a good smooch for the camera … and a toast. Sparkling cider? Where's the real champagne?

* *

The happy couple!

Then it was off to get the itchy headdress off my head (and according to Tony, the "smelly" lei he wore — Tony doesn't like the scent of pikake flowers) — and head to Waikiki for a celebration dinner… Aloha and Mahalo!
