This is your typical woman-gets-lied-to-by-man song, however, Quarterflash is an amazing group. The band took its name from an Australian slogan: "a quarter flash and three parts foolish." The husband and wife team of Marv and Rindy Ross are still together and have a group called the Trail Band. Marv (guitar) and Rindy (reeds/woodwinds) were the founders of Quarterflash; the couple received the Alumni Award of Excellence from Western Oregon University for their contributions to Oregon arts. The Rosses have toured with Elton John, Linda Ronstadt, and The Beach Boys. They founded The Trail Band in 1991.
